Each national culture is diverse and multilayered, and includes many components. At the same time, it is possible to identify a small number of the most fundamental structures in the groundwork of culture. Researchers often referred to them as values, which can be defined as broad tendencies to prefer certain state of affairs over others, to consider it a good one1.
These constructions are quite conceptual and not always recognized, but they influence the choice of goals in life and means of achieving them in various areas, ranging from interpersonal relationships and approaches to childrearing, to the political system, religious views and economic relations.
This section is devoted to an overview of overall social values and prevailing stereotypes in Ukrainian society and their comparison
