Recently, the topic of concluding the Agreement on Conformity Assessment and Acceptance of Industrial Products (ACAA) between Ukraine and the European Union or, as the agreement was aptly called, ‘industrial visa-free regime’ has appeared in the discourse of Ukrainian politicians. This can be considered as a signal that the long process of preparation for the conclusion of the ACAA is already coming to the finish line (at least, according to those involved in this process from the governmental and expert community). Indeed, the most important work to launch an ‘industrial visa-free regime’ between our country and the EU has already been done, but a number of steps remain to be completed to implement both EU legislation and ensure coherence between national and European quality infrastructure.
