The Association Agreement provides for a considerable amount of commitments on the approximation of the national legislation of Ukraine to the legislation of the European Union.
According to the annexes to the Association Agreement, between December 1, 2016, and November 1, 2017, Ukraine had to fulfill 86 such commitments. According to our analysis, Ukraine has so far fulfilled 10 commitments, which is about 11% of the total number of tasks.
The most successful is the sector of technical regulation. In the field of maritime transport, the approximation is the least successful as almost no draft regulations have been developed.
